Telephone Reassurance

While the world is embracing a new normal, Telephone Reassurance provides peace of mind for clients and their loved ones with either social or security check-ins without face-to-face interactions.

This service is ideal for anyone who is not able to leave their own home, socially isolated or lacking caregiver support.

When are the calls made?

Telephone Reassurance calls are made during office hours. This is to ensure that CCD staff can follow up with the client or their caregiver in case of emergency.


Who makes Telephone Reassurance calls?

Volunteers call clients on an agreed upon day and time. Clients receive weekly calls from the same volunteer on the assigned day. This creates a rapport and consistency.


How long are the calls?

Telephone Reassurance calls may last between 5-7 minutes as volunteers sometimes have a list of clients to call that same day. Security calls are intended for check-ins and follow a different protocol than social calls. If a client does not answer, volunteers are to advise the office, and staff members follow up with the emergency contact on file. This is ideal for caregivers who may live far away from their loved ones and seek extra safety measures.
