Help Community Care Durham win $20,000!!!
Nature's Bounty Vitamins is holding a contest to give away a total of $50,000 to Canadian charities, and you can help make Community Care Durham one of the winners! The charity that receives the most votes will win $20,000, with 2nd and 3rd prizes of $10,000 and $5,000. All other charities will be entered into a random draw, with 3 charities winning $5,000 each. Here's how to vote:
Go to www.sharethebounty.ca, go to the Charities page, look for Community Care Durham on the list of charities, and vote for us. Prior to being able to vote, each voter will be required to follow the on-screen instructions to fully complete the voter registration form, which requires a valid email address and consent to the terms and conditions. Once the voter has fully completed the voter registration form, s/he must click the "Register" button to complete the registration. The voting takes place between February 26 and March 29, and they allow one vote per person per day. Winners will be announced on the contest website on April 24, 2013.

8th ANNUAL WALK FOR MENTAL HEALTH
Join Community Care Durham as we Walk for Mental Health! This fundraising event takes place on Saturday, May 25, 9 a.m. to noon. Walk 1 km., 2 km. or 5 km. along ther Waterfront Trail at Heydenshore park in Whitby. Enjoy a morning of family fun, with enterainment, display booths, children's activities and a barbeque lunch. 17th ANNUAL GARDENS OF UXBRIDGE GARDEN TOUR
Indulge yourself! Spend a days in the gardens as Community Care Durham - Uxbridge hosts its 17th Annual Gardens of Uxbridge garden tour on Saturday, July 13, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This self-guided tour provides an exciting opportunity to view 8 private gardens within Uxbridge and the surrounding rural area. Everyone can be enriched by participating in a garden tour, from the experienced gardener to the novice, and you are also supporting a great cause! Tickets are $25, and include a box lunch to take on the road or enjoy at the Uxbridge Seniors Centre (75 Marietta Street, Uxbridge). There will be an Early Bird Draw for dinner for two at the Tin Mill Restaurant in Uxbridge, and there will be a raffle on the day for a fantastic prize. Tickets are available by phone (905-852-7445).
