HOME AND COMMUNITY CARE SERVICES
The Home and Community Care Support Services (HCCSS) of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care works with local health providers and community members to determine and fund health priorities in Durham Region.
THE UNITED WAY
The United Way – Centraide Movement had its roots in Canada in the early part of the 20th century. Since the mid 70’s, the United Way-Centraide Movement in Canada has grown and adapted quickly to embrace the diversity of evolving communities. Each United Way-Centraide is an independent, community-based organization.
ONTARIO TRILLIUM FOUNDATION
The Ontario Trillium Foundation is Canada’s leading charitable grant-making foundation. As an agency of the Government of Ontario, they work with not-for-profit and charitable organizations from across the province. Their investments in community-based initiatives strengthen the capacity of organizations and the voluntary sector. Through each grant they support, they live their mission.
