With the planned retirement of the incumbent, Community Care Durham is recruiting an experienced generalist Human Resources Professional to provide effective advice and support for HR services for over 300 employees, including office/management, Personal Support Workers (PSWs), and other front line service providers.

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, the HR Manager takes a lead role in services relating to employee relations; recruitment and selection; human resources planning; policy development; performance evaluation and management; occupational health and safety; WSIB claims overview; human rights and employment legislation risk management and compliance; compensation design and management; training and development; HR reporting; best practices research; and other related projects.

Working with an HR Coordinator, the HR Manager is accountable for all HR services within Community Care Durham, other related projects as assigned, and networking as appropriate within Durham Region.

Qualifications required:























Compensation: 
$30.01 - $34.76 per hour; 3 weeks' vacation (prorated to hours of work); 13 paid (including stat.) holidays; health, pension and insurance benefits when eligible as per policy.

Human Resources Manager
Part Time (25 hours/week)

Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, and
CHRP or CHRL designation, and
Generalist HR experience, preferably in health care or community support services, and
Three years of directly-related management experience or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience
As well, satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check; and
Licenced vehicle and the ability to travel within Durham Region regularly, and the GTA occasionally, and
Demonstrated effective communication, presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills
The ability to provide both hands-on support and strategic direction to HR services
A track record of effective planning and achieving objectives in all areas of responsibility
Solid problem-solving and conflict management skills
Experience coaching, consulting and supporting healthy working relationships, and
Available to begin work mid-June 2017
